Save the Date! #MuseUp at the ‘Palace of Tears’
On Tuesday, 17th June, the Tränenpalast (‘Palace of Tears’) in Berlin is inviting us to a special #MuseUp on the anniversary of the Uprising of 1953 in East Germany.
“Leave-taking and longing, resentment and despair. The emotional experience of leaving East Germany for West Germany is never as intense as at Berlin’s Friedrichstraße Station border crossing point, called the Tränenpalast – “Palace of Tears”. Here, people directly experience the impact of a divided Germany on their personal lives. The role of the Tränenpalast only changes after the fall of the Berlin Wall.”
We hope you will understand, that on this occasion the #Museup will be in German only. Further details on the Museup Websote. Attendance is free but tickets are limited to 30 spaces. Registration via Eventbrite.
